Help me find stability as I take This Movement Mainstream

I went homeless three years ago when my startup to democratise our economies went under before it could launch (read my story here). After three long years of struggle, many losses, and many wins, I still haven’t found stability and remain separated from loved ones.

It’s been a rough ride, but thanks to supporters like you, I’m still here.

If you can spare a small amount every month to help me cover a personal survival budget, I believe there truly is no more impactful place you can invest when it comes to world-changing projects, and I’m personally grateful for your support so that I can continue to dedicate myself to this vital work.

What would be worth far more than money

I am looking for someone to share my story (which you can read here). Let me explain.

I have been self-advocating to get help to find stability for three years.

And each year I have dreamed of a “Harper Lee Year.”

What is a Harper Lee Year? Well Harper Lee, author of To Kill a Mockingbird, was given a year off to write her novel one Christmas. Her friends, the Browns, saw that she was struggling to keep a roof over her head while also doing creative work and gifted it to her.

When I heard that story I couldn’t help but wonder how much human potential we’ve lost because people must struggle to survive.

I don’t have friends as well off as the Browns, but I might have a friend who’s willing to put my story together and share it.

Last March, people in my community helped fundraise to get me to the Power of Community Event at HelpBnk. I pitched community wealth and I won. I was so hopeful (as was everyone supporting me) that HelpBnk would share my story, but that didn’t happen. I tried all sorts of crazy things like sleeping under the Staircase of Dreams. I think the universe was telling me that guerilla marketing was not the way to go.

I also entered two contests that gave the winner a year off to pursue their dream, Dream Waterpark, and the Stan Store Dare to Dream Contest. Harper Lee years up for grabs!

Alas, it was not time for my Harper Lee year yet.

I realise now that that would have been a bit like winning the lottery, but the reasoning behind it is still sound.

When someone else advocates for you, helps you share your story, you often get the support from the public you need to make it. You see this all the time on Tiktok. There is something magical about someone else helping, and others seeing them helping someone in need.

I will never give up and I am doing my best to create more viral videos and get on podcasts where I can share my story and grow the movement. I am very very tired though, I need medical care, and missing my loved ones wears on my mental health daily, and I need better equipment to finish my film and to tell other people’s stories.

I am greatly in need of a windfall that will allow me to go home and have stability there.

If you can make this happen, please let me know. And if you can help get The Faros Project or Connectioning funded with impact investment, or can help with applications or scaling those projects, please reach out too. Thank you.

Xoxo
